Curious what happened at Circuit Zandvoort in week 6? Then take a look behind the scenes with Update Friday.
Photo ▲: Work is being done at different locations on the track. This also applies to the Scheivlak (turn 7). Here a new wall will be placed on the outside, including new FIA safety fences.
Photo ▼: On the paddock behind the pitboxes, the first layer of asphalt will be laid. Soon the top layer will follow.
Photo ▲: Pavement work was also carried out on the circuit track as well. In the foreground are the new kerbstones for the exit of the Kumhobocht (Turn13), while skilfully rolling over the first layer of asphalt.
Photo ▼: Several rollers were used on the base layer of asphalt of the new Arie Luyendykbocht (curve 14).
Picture ▲: In recent weeks, De Groot Vroomshoop has realised a new medical centre for Circuit Zandvoort, in collaboration with Volker Wessels, near the inside of the Arie Luyendykbocht.
Photo ▼: The Hugenholtzbocht was also asphalted (Turn3). Just like the Arie Luyendyk curve, this new curve is equipped with a progressive banking.
Photo ▼: At the request of many, we will again conclude with an aerial photo. This time with a top view at the Arie Luyendyk bend. The challenging bowl bend has been provided with a first layer of asphalt.
This aerial photo was taken with written permission and a license from Circuit Zandvoort. All safety regulations have been complied with. Without written permission (and a license) flying (including making video or photo shots) above Circuit Zandvoort is not allowed.
Photo ▲: And the Arie Luyendyk curve is sure to impress and provide spectacle! The basis is there and with the special Flying Dutch top layer, which will be laid soon, it will be a special experience.
A new update will follow soon!
