Also in week 7 a lot happened at Circuit Zandvoort. A look behind the scenes at the construction works.
Photo ▲: The guardrails are replaced at various locations and moved to new positions. This is also the case when entering the Mastersbocht (Turn 8).
Photo ▼: On the inside of the same turn, the former metal Ludwig counter has been replaced by a different kind of kerbstone. Racing on the limit remains exciting, but unsportsmanlike cutting of the corners will be punished.
Picture ▲: In the Scheivlak (Turn 7), tyre stacks are placed on the outside of the bend. A total of about 1500 six-pack-stacks will be placed around the circuit.
Photo ▼: In the meantime, work is still going on next to the circuit. The terrain of Parking B will be expanded and provided with a new layer of asphalt by De Jong Zuurmond. During the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix the Formula 2 and Formula 3 teams will be standing here.
Photo ▲: Work on the extension of the pitboxes has also reached the next phase. In the background, the guardrail is being installed on the inside of the Tarzanbocht (Turn 1).
Photo ▼: On the same paddock, considerably more space has been added at the back of the pitboxes.
A new update will follow soon!
