Also in week 9 a lot happened at Circuit Zandvoort. A look behind the scenes at the construction works.
Photo ▲: The circuit is fitted with the last layer of asphalt. While work continues on the new pedestrian tunnel in the foreground, the first wall has also been placed on the outside of the renewed Arie Luyendyk curve (Turn 14).
Photo ▼: The Arie Luyendykbocht (Turn 14) will certainly provide a challenge. A SAFER barrier will be placed on the outside in the next phase.
Photo ▲: Shortly after the new FlyingDutch asphalt top layer was laid, the “starting grid” areas on the circuit could be painted.
Photo ▼: The work on the wall at the exit of the pit lane was also completed. The new pit exit is now located at the exit of the Tarzanbocht (Turn 1).

Photo ▼: And so we come to the (new) finish of this update. The first laps can be driven!
A new update will follow soon!
